JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has now signed an extradition warrant for Shanna Gardner, the former Jacksonville Beach woman charged in the 2022 murder-for-hire plot of her ex-husband Jared Bridegan. The State Attorney's Office said the warrant is headed to Benton County, Washington, where Gardner is currently being held. Gardner's hearing in court in Washington was continued to Oct. 5 to allow time for the state to receive the warrant. Gardner has been fighting extradition back to Florida.
