Ulta Beauty in Jacksonville, Florida

Although the cosmetic staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, I went to "The Salon" at Ulta and had the WORST salon experience of my life, no exaggeration whatsoever. I won't name the woman in particular, but she was indeed female. I went to get my hair colored because obviously since I am not cosmetologist and wanted it to look perfect, I wanted it to be colored professionally. Granted that hair coloring is not an exact science, I expect the cosmetologist to be much more professional about it than what I experienced. After my roots turned out to look one color and the rest of my hair a completely different color, she tried to convince me that it looked okay and when I didn't believe her and wanted it redone, she tried to blame me for her mistake, then wants me to pay extra for the mistakes that she made in the first place. After telling me that she didn't know what to do, I had to instruct her how to fix it! Reluctantly she did. I was there a total of 4 hours... 2.5 hours longer than it should've been. So long story short- DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY GETTING YOUR HAIR DONE HERE. This place is much too expensive for the amateur stylists that they employ. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning. ................................................................................ UPDATE: If you’re looking for a great place to get your hair done, I highly recommend Aura Salon (an Aveda Salon) in the Town Center. I’ve had nothing but good experiences since I’ve been going to them since the incident at Ulta years ago. I actually rarely go into Ulta now to even get cosmetics since I’d rather go into Sephora any day.
