Marble Waters Hotel and Suites - Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida

Got a room with 2 queen beds.. I honestly think it was a full. Each bed had TWO pillows. Only.. 1 for u and 1 for the person you're sharing the bed with. The "economy sized" shampoo and body wash was attached to the wall outside of the shower and it was pretty much empty. The door to the freezer was missing in the mini fridge so it had a thick layer of ice in it. Not a good experience unfortunately. For the way it looks in the lobby, they should've invested more in the rooms.

How did they manage a 3 star!??? After 1- 1/2 hours I was gone! I can't say there was much of an experience. When checking in, the person didn't seem very interested in any sort of conversation. If it was busy I would understand, but that place was about empty. It looks ok from the outside and the check in area, but once you get on the elevator.... I don't know what happened. Every step we took just seemed to get worse. When we got in the room I immediately thought... Wow! ... and definitely not in a good way. I sat in that room (which I was pretty grossed out by, not very clean). I thought I could stick it out for 1 night.... Within an hour and a half of being there I had booked a room somewhere else gathered our things and told the lady we weren't staying. I think if they had an ounce of professionalism they would've asked why and if there was a problem.... Nope, all she said was ok. I asked if I needed to sign anything, she said no and that was it. The room was so dark and dreary it felt like I was sitting in a jail cell or something (that's how I'd imagine it anyway). The room was dusty, the rug definitely needed to be vacuumed the shower head needs to be cleaned of either hard water or soap scum, the blanket on one of the beds had a couple of holes (small ones, but that blanket needed to be replaced). The air temp was set at 61* so it was pretty cold when we got in there, I turned it up to 70 and when it started warming up a little there was a damp musty smell, my guess is they set it at 60 to try and hide the smelly dampness of the room. I feel so much better and more comfortable where I am now. So, I might have thrown away a $100 by not staying in that room, but strangely enough, I don't regret it. I'll stick with what I know from now on, that was just a horrible experience.
